Joyride, he has got so much soul and effortless skill.
What do you think about Sydney’s music scene? And if you could play anywhere, where would you love to perform?
I love Sydney and i’ve seen seasons change in different musical worlds, from Metalcore in the the early-noughties, Indie Rock in the mid-noughties, Electro in the mid/late-noughties, Dub in the late noughties, and Rap right now. I’m so comfortable with the blend of Alternative Rock and Bass culture that we provide, it’s exciting to see the organically-dynamic nature of my creativity come alive on stage. I would love to perform at the Metro as a right of passage to the next level for Mailer Daemon (Live).
Seen any good bands lately?
Seeing Weezer, Stone Roses, and the Smashing Pumpkins in the past few months has been definitely very special as these are the bands that I learned to play music with.
Any interesting stories?
My best tour story is sneaking backstage to see Richard Ashcroft of The Verve play at Splendour, I got to chat with Craig Nicholls of The Vines and we discussed and shared our love for The Verve and late 90’s Britpop.
