Hmmm…I’m never too sure what to say about Donny Benet. All I know is that he is the king of lo-fi disco and all things kitsch. His skills and musicality are apparent as his songs are beautifully structured and clever with his tongue pressed firmly to cheek. This is also very apparent in his latest clip for “Sophisticated Lover”. Slightly abstract, the video is suggestive but does not really go anywhere and yet there’s some intriguing imagery and hilarious scenes. Check it out for yourself.
